Carriers can choose which shippers' direct quote requests they receive, right from Notification Preferences in the Emerge app — no more relying on the email unsubscribe link to manage a specific shipper.
How to Turn Off Quote Requests From a Shipper
Log in and go to Settings > Notification Preferences.
Search for and select the shipper(s) you no longer want quote requests from.
Click Save.
You'll stop receiving new quote requests from the shippers you selected. No other changes are needed.
What Changes, and What Doesn't
You will stop receiving quote request emails from the shippers you selected.
You will still receive tender requests, awards, and other notifications from those same shippers for loads you've already been awarded. Turning off quote requests does not affect shipments you're already committed to.
This setting controls direct quote requests from your connected shippers (Network Partners). It does not affect Marketplace/Spot load visibility.
You can turn quote requests back on for a shipper at any time by unchecking them in the same Notification Preferences screen and saving.
FAQ
I used to click the unsubscribe link in the email to stop hearing from a specific shipper. Do I still need to do that?
No. That workflow has moved into the app. Use Notification Preferences to control quote requests shipper by shipper going forward. If you'd rather opt out of Emerge emails entirely instead of by shipper, see How to Unsubscribe and Resubscribe to Emerge Emails.
Will this stop these shippers' loads from showing up on the Marketplace?
No. This setting only controls direct quote request notifications from your connected shippers. It has no effect on Marketplace load visibility.
Where can I see the quote requests I'm still receiving?
I changed my mind — can I start receiving quote requests from a shipper again?
Yes. Go back to Settings > Notification Preferences, deselect that shipper, and save. You'll begin receiving their quote requests again going forward (Emerge cannot resend requests sent while the shipper was turned off).
