FAQ:

How can I prevent accidental unsubscriptions when forwarding emails?

To minimize accidental unsubscriptions, avoid forwarding Emerge emails whenever possible. Educate forwarded recipients not to click on the unsubscribe links unless they are the original recipient. This ensures the integrity of the email subscription list.

What if the email I’m trying to resubscribe or unsubscribe is not part of this distribution list?

If the email you're managing is not on list above, you won't be able to change its subscription status directly through our unsubscribe/resubscribe tools.

Depending on whether you're a carrier or a shipper, you can refer to the following help articles for managing additional notification settings:

What are some common reasons my email was unsubscribed?

There are two common reasons why your email may have been unsubscribed from our communications:

  1. Manual Unsubscribe: Someone with access to the email address clicked the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of one of our emails. This action automatically removes the email from our mailing list.

  2. Note: If multiple users share an email address or if the email is forwarded, clicking the unsubscribe option will unsubscribe the original recipient address.

  3. For example, if multiple teammates have access to [email protected], it only takes one person clicking "unsubscribe" for the entire team to stop receiving notifications.

Similarly, if multiple email addresses route messages to a single inbox, unsubscribing from one of them may cause issues. For instance, if Email Address A forwards messages to the inboxes of Email Addresses B, C, and D, and B clicks "unsubscribe," it may appear that A initiated the unsubscribe—causing all addresses to stop receiving notifications. 2. Email Rules Set by Your IT Team: Some company IT departments create rules that block or filter certain types of emails. If this applies, it's possible your email was automatically unsubscribed or flagged.

  1. Tip: Ask your IT team to whitelist emails from @emergemarket.io to prevent future issues.2. Preventive Measures: To avoid accidental unsubscriptions, consider these steps:

    • Avoid Forwarding Emails: Whenever possible, do not forward Emerge email notifications. Instead, share the email content through alternate means, such as summarizing its details or providing guidance without forwarding the original email.

    • Educate Forwarded Recipients: If forwarding is unavoidable, ensure the recipient is informed not to click the unsubscribe link unless they are the original recipient of the email. This proactive communication can significantly prevent accidental list removal.

If email notifications are being forwarded to another address, be cautious. If the recipient of the forwarded email clicks 'unsubscribe,' this action will remove your email address from the notification list. To avoid this issue, ensure only trusted users receive forwarded emails.

Can Emerge resend old emails?

No, Emerge cannot resend past emails. While we’re happy to help you resubscribe to certain types of emails so you receive future notifications, we cannot resend emails that were already sent in the past.
