How to Accept a Tender in the Emerge Carrier TMS
This article is for Carriers using the Emerge Carrier TMS (Transportation Management System). It explains how to accept a tender after a Shipper has awarded you a quote opportunity.
A tender is the formal offer a Shipper sends to a Carrier once a load has been awarded. Accepting a tender confirms that you'll haul the load; rejecting it declines the offer.
Confirm your Shipper uses Emerge
Not all Shippers use Emerge to send and track tenders. Before you start, confirm with your Shipper which platform they use. If your Shipper uses a different platform, the steps below won't apply, and you should follow that platform's process instead.
Step 1: Receive your tender notification
After a Shipper awards you a quote opportunity, Emerge sends a tender notification. You'll receive this notification by email or through the Emerge API, depending on how your account is configured.
Step 2: Log into Emerge
Go to login.emergemarket.io and log in using the same email address that received the tender notification. Logging in with a different email address may prevent the tender from appearing in your account.
Step 3: Open the tender
Once you're logged in:
Step 4: Accept or reject the tender
Review the tender details, then choose one of the following:
Click Accept to confirm you'll haul the load.
Click Reject to decline the tender.
