Email Notifications for Carriers

This article lists every automated email notification carriers can receive from the Emerge platform (TMS and RFP), explains why each one is sent, and shows which carrier types receive it. It also covers what to do if notifications are not arriving.

All notifications are sent from one of the following email addresses.

List of TMS/Spot Email Notifications

These emails are sent for activity on the TMS/Spot side of the the platform. This activity includes quote requests, awards, and tender management.

Note: Network Partners will receive rate confirmations from their shipper directly, not from Emerge.

These emails are sent for activity related to RFP events, including invitations, bidding windows, awards, and shipper messages.

Note: This email can also be used to register a new account. Existing account holders do not need to take further action.

Bidding has opened for an event you are invited to.

The shipper changed the bidding window for the event.

Note: Shippers can opt out of sending this notification when making changes, so it may not always arrive.

A reminder that bidding is closing soon. Sent three times: at 24 hours, 12 hours, and 4 hours remaining.

You have been awarded lanes in an RFP event

At least one of your awarded lanes has been changed. Either the volume or rank type (primary vs. backup) was updated.

The shipper sent a message to participants of this event. The message content appears in the email itself, not on the platform. Shippers typically use these to announce event updates.

Not Receiving Notifications?

If expected emails are not arriving, work through these steps:

  1. Check alternate folders (Junk, Archived, Deleted, Spam, etc)

  2. Check mailbox rules - make sure no rule is blocking or auto-moving emails from the three Emerge sender addresses listed below:

  3. Confirm you are checking the correct account - notifications only go to the email address on the user account used for bidding and/or on your shipper's Network Partner List.
