How to Manage Your Account Settings

On the lower left-hand side of the screen, you'll find a gear icon that leads you to the Settings tab, where you can manage your profile and customize various preferences related to tracking, notifications, and carrier operations.

How to Update Your Profile

  1. Navigate to My Profile:

    • Click on the gear icon to open the Settings tab.

    • Select My Profile to update your personal information.

  2. Edit Profile Information:

    • Click the Pencil icon to edit your First Name, Last Name, and Phone Number.

    • Once you've made the changes, click SAVE.

Note: You cannot change the email address associated with your profile. If you need a new email for your MC, you must create a new profile by following the provided Carrier Registration Link.

How to Update Tracking Preferences

  1. Access Tracking Preferences:

    • In the Settings tab, select Tracking Preferences.

  2. Adjust Tracking Duration:

    • Choose how long your shipments stay visible on the Shipments page by selecting the appropriate number of days from the Days drop-down menu.

    • Click SAVE to confirm your preferences or RESET DEFAULT SETTINGS to revert to the default.

How to Adjust Your Notification Preferences

  1. Open Notification Preferences:

    • Go to Notification Preferences in the Settings tab.

  2. Customize Notifications:

    • Toggle the options for various notifications:

      • Tracking Status Updates

      • Tender Request Notifications

      • Marketplace Notifications

      • Quote Notifications

    • This allows you to control which stages of shipments will notify you via email.

How to Select Your Carrier Preferences

  1. Access Carrier Preferences:

    • In the Settings tab, click Carrier Preferences to personalize your experience.

  2. Select Contact and Language Preferences:

    • Choose your Preferred Contact Method and Preferred Language from the drop-down menus.

    • If you want to search for both Spot and Contract loads, select All Loads.

  3. Operational Preferences:

    • Choose your preferred freight modes (e.g., Full Truckload, Multi-modal when available).

    • Select your Truckload Capabilities:

      • Equipment types, Endorsements (e.g., TWIC cards, Hazmat),

      • Supported Loading Types (Drop Trailer, Live, or All),

      • Fleet size, Specialized Services (lift gates, team drivers),

      • Commodity Restrictions,

      • P44 Tracking Capabilities (if applicable),

      • Preferred Pickup/Drop-off times and Driver Schedule.

  4. Location Preferences:

    • Select the regions where your fleet operates, including parts of Canada and Mexico.

    • Add zip codes for your Terminal Locations.

    • Click Show a map of the zones to view a map showing zone numbers.

Note: The Emerge Marketplace does not support freight entering or leaving Mexico at this time.

Save Your Preferences

Once you've updated all your preferences, you can either:

  • Click SAVE to apply your changes, or

  • Click RESET DEFAULTS to revert to the default settings.

By customizing these settings, you'll improve your ability to search for loads, manage shipments, and enhance your experience within the Carrier Portal.
