Emerge's Marketplace consists of thousands of pre-vetted carriers who are actively searching for loads in the Carrier Portal. The Marketplace provides you capacity and rates on quotes in addition to your Network Partners. Once you are fully set up with Emerge as a shipper and your credit has been approved, you will be able to start viewing Marketplace options on quotes you create.
If you choose to tender to the Marketplace, an Emerge Carrier Representative will help ensure the load is picked up and delivered on time. Your information will not be shared with the Marketplace carrier unless you choose to tender a load to them. You can choose what kind of capacity providers you want to allow to see your quotes. Click here to learn how to set your Marketplace Preferences.
After creating a Quote, it will automatically be posted to the Marketplace, and you will be able to see the date and time it was posted. Once a Marketplace carrier submits an option, you will see it in the Options section. If multiple carriers have submitted bids, the lowest one will be displayed. Click VIEW OPTIONS to view the different rates.
If you are happy with rate and want to tender the quote, simply click TENDER.
Setting Marketplace Preferences
When using the Marketplace, you have the ability to choose which types of providers can see your loads. To adjust these preferences, lick the Settings icon in the lower left hand side of the screen.
Click Marketplace Preferences.
The types of providers are Brokers, Carriers, Carriers/Brokers, or Other. Other indicates capacity providers who don't have a standard motor carrier authority, such as a freight forwarder. You can also choose to auto-request a new rate from a carrier if they chose to set an expiration on their rate and the rate expires.
Emerge also allows you to block specific providers for any reason. Click the + sign to search for that specific carrier.
In the Block Provider window, begin typing out the MC or DOT number in the field provided and click on them when they appear on the scrolling menu.
Once you have selected the provider you wish to prevent from bidding on your quotes, and click BLOCK.
You can always remove Blocked Providers from the list simply by clicking the Trach Can icon next to their company information.
