After accepting a tender, a Shipper will expect that you update the status of a shipment. You can choose to have the status of the shipment update with tracking updates either automatically or manually.
How to Update Shipment Status
Navigate to the MANAGE tab > Shipments and choose the shipment you want to update.
Choose Add Tracking Method and select your Tracking Method
Select your Tracking Method
Mobile: If you choose this automatic tracking method, all shipment stages will update once the tracking begins 90 minutes prior to the scheduled pick up appointment.
Manual: If you choose manual tracking, we ask that you update at least two times per day while in transit.
Tracking: On that same page down below, the Tracking section is where you'll update truck location, Click UPDATE TRUCK LOCATION. Enter your Current Location, as well as the date and time
Stops: From the Stops section, update the ETA to the pick up by choosing Edit Stop Times Update the date and time and click SAVE
Repeat steps 6 & 7 to update the Actual Arrival and Actual Departure for the shipper and then also the ETA, Actual Arrival and Actual Departure for delivery.
Note: Adding Actual Arrival will move the status to AT SHIPPER. Adding Actual Departure time will move the shipment to IN-TRANSIT. Adding Actual Arrival under the "STOP 2 DROP" section will move the shipment to AT CONSIGNEE and adding the Actual Departure will move the shipment to DELIVERED.
How to Update Truck Location While In-Transit
If you chose Manual Tracking, you will want to make sure that you UPDATE TRUCK LOCATION multiple times per day while the shipment is IN-TRANSIT to remain compliant with the shipper's request for tracking.
Proceed to the shipment you want to update following steps 1-3 above.
Click UPDATE TRUCK LOCATION in the top right corner of the Tracking section.
Enter the Current Location by searching the City & State or Zip Code of truck location. Click Save.
Note: each time you add a tracking location update it will leave a map dot on the shipper's portal
