ACH Quick Pay Explained
Updated today

ACH payments are electronic payments made through the Automated Clearing House Network allowing funds to move from one bank account to another.

Benefits:

Convenience and Safety
ACH payment reduces the wait time to receive a check in the mail and provides a secure payment method between customers and vendors.

Processing Time
Delivery of ACH transfers can take several business days. ACH payments are different from wire transfers that are handled in real-time processing.

After 4:00PM CST a transfer won’t be processed until the next business day. If QuickPay is initiated on a Friday, for example, processing might not start until the following Monday.

Banking holidays also cause an impact in the time frame that ACH payments are processed and received by your bank. According to the Federal Reserve, U.S. banks will be closed on the following holidays.

• New Year’s Day

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day

• President’s Day

• Memorial Day

• Independence Day

• Labor Day

• Columbus Day

• Veterans’ Day

• Thanksgiving Day

• Christmas Day
