Contract Marketplace FAQ

If you're new to the Contract Marketplace, here are some frequently asked questions that can help you navigate the platform:

Updated over a week ago

I submitted my bid, what happens next?

Once you submit your bid, you'll see the Bid End date in the contracted lane. After the bidding period ends, a Marketplace Specialist will reach out to confirm your rate. You can edit your submitted bids by clicking on the Submitted Bids tab below the Contract Loads section in your carrier portal.

How will I know if I won a contract?

Once the bidding ends and the shipper publishes their awards, a Marketplace Specialist will contact you with the next steps.

Will I get an email confirmation of my participation in a bid?

Currently, you will not receive an email once a bid is placed. To track your bids, visit the Submitted Bids tab in the carrier portal.

How do I know what rate to submit?

Not all contract opportunities will have a target rate. We recommend submitting your best, most competitive All-IN rate that aligns with your business needs.

What if I can’t take the full volume shown in the lane?

You can adjust the volume during your bid submission to match your capacity. If awarded the contract, you’ll have the First Right of Refusal for the volume you can handle.

What if I'm unable to find contract loads that match lanes that I run?

New opportunities will become available as the shipper base grows and seasons change. Keep checking for updated lanes that match your preferred routes.

How do I know what the commodity and weight will be?

Commodities and weights can vary due to the nature of RFPs and project-specific demands. If you have any restrictions on what you can haul, include that information in the Notes section when submitting your bid.

How do I know what the shipping hours will be?

Shipping hours vary by shipper and their facilities. If you have specific preferences for pick-up or drop-off times, include them in the Notes section when submitting your bid.

How long will it take before I get a response?

Shippers may take up to two weeks after the bid end date to provide feedback. However, feel free to reach out to the team for additional details.

What if I am already running this lane on spot?

This is your chance to secure more consistent lane volume. While you may still access these lanes in the spot market, winning the contract will give you the First Right of Refusal for the lane. This means you would be treated as a primary carrier, reducing concerns over market fluctuations and inconsistent availability.

For any specific Contract Lane inquiries, you can also reach out to a Contract Specialist at 480-744-6514 extension 4003 or email them at [email protected].worry about inconsistent market fluctuations.
