Entity Management allows users to manage and configure other users tied to their company within the Emerge Carrier TMS platform. Users with Entity Management permissions can invite new users, grant bookability access to the Emerge Marketplace, and deactivate users.
User Types
Standard Users: Limited access to Entity Management, unable to edit user settings but can request bookability.
Entity Managers: Full access to Entity Management, allowing them to invite, manage, and configure users, as well as edit bookability and deactivate users.
Standard Users
Access to Entity Management: Standard Users cannot access the Entity Management page. Only Entity Managers can unlock this access for them.
Marketplace Bookability: If a Standard User doesn't have access to book loads in the Emerge Marketplace, they’ll see a blue banner prompting them to request eligibility. When they request bookability, Entity Managers will receive an email to update their permissions.
Invite Users: Standard Users can invite new users by entering the invitee’s details (email, phone number, and name). The invitee will receive an email to register in the Emerge platform.
Entity Managers
Entity Managers have full permissions to manage users in the platform, including:
Invite New Users:
Go to Settings > Entity Management.
Click Invite New User, fill in the invitee’s details, and choose whether to give them Entity Management access.
The invitee will receive an email to register.
Give Users Bookability to the Emerge Marketplace:
Go to Settings > Entity Management.
Select Edit under the three-dots menu for the user.
Under Marketplace Bookable, choose Approved to grant bookability or Not Approved to remove it.
Click Save.
Deactivate Users:
Go to Settings > Entity Management.
Click Edit under the three-dots menu, then select Deactivate.
Choose a reason for deactivation and click Deactivate.
The user will be notified via email, and shippers tied to the user’s account will be notified as well.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I use Entity Management to view other users' activity with Network Shippers?
No, Entity Management only controls Emerge access (e.g., inviting, deactivating users, and bookability). Activity related to Network Shippers remains unchanged and is managed directly with the shipper.
How long does it take for bookability to be activated after requesting it?
After submitting a request, Entity Managers will be notified by email. It may take a few days for the feature to be enabled. If no action is taken, the Standard User can follow up with the Entity Manager.
Standard Users will see the following message when attempting to view the Marketplace. "Your marketplace load booking request has been submitted. If not approved within 48 hours, contact support"
