Event Visibility & Access

Q1: Why can't I see an RFP event I was invited to in the Emerge platform?
A1: There are several reasons why an RFP event might not appear on your dashboard:

  • The bidding window is not open yet. The event may be in a different stage (e.g., "Upcoming Events" or "Bidding Open").

  • You were removed as a participant. Reach out to the Shipper for more details.

  • Email mismatch. Verify that you are logged into Emerge with the same email address that received the invite.

  • Network Partner vs. RFP event invitation. You may have received a Network Partner invitation instead of an RFP event invite. Both are required to participate.

Event Management

Q2: How do I update the point of contact (POC) for an event?
A2: If you need to change the point of contact for an event, you must inform the Shipper. The Shipper can then add the new POC to the RFP event.

Q3: How do I complete the RFI?
A3: The RFI must be completed before you can view the event. When you select the event, a window will pop up with the required questionnaire or document. Once completed, the 'Start RFI Response' button will become active.

Event Features & Errors

Q4: Why is the 'Lanes' tab grayed out?
A4: You must first accept the lane instructions in the event details. To do this, click on the "Accept Instructions" button at the top of the page.

Q5: Why am I receiving an error message when uploading my bids?
A5: Errors when uploading bids are often caused by formatting or data entry issues. Refer to the Troubleshooting Errors When Uploading Bids guide to identify and resolve common problems.

Round Events & Bid Uploading

Q6: Do I have to re-upload my bid from Round 1 to Round 2?
A6: Yes, each round is considered a separate event. You will need to upload your bid again for Round 2.

Q7: Can I use the same file I used for Round 1 in Round 2?
A7: It depends. The Shipper may have updated the lanes or added new details. It's recommended to download the Round 2 lanes file and review any changes before using the same file.

Feedback & Awards

Q8: How do I see feedback for my bid?
A8: Bid feedback is available under the Lanes tab for some events. It will be shown on the table alongside your lanes. You can also download the lanes to view the feedback.

Q9: Where do I find the awards for my bids?
A9: If you are awarded lanes, you will see an "Award" tab under the event. This tab will display all lanes awarded to you, where you can choose to accept or reject the awards.

Multi-Round Events

Q10: How do Multi-Round Events work?
A10: Multi-Round Events allow Shippers to invite carriers to multiple bidding rounds. You can participate in each round by submitting bids as you normally would.

Q11: How can I tell if an event has multiple rounds?
A11: You can check the "Current Round" column in the Events tab to see how many rounds are involved (e.g., "1 of 2," "2 of 2"). Event names will also indicate which round you're invited to (e.g., "Annual RFP Round 2").

Q12: Can I be invited to Round 1 but not to future rounds?
A12: Yes, the Shipper controls which participants are invited to each round. It's possible to be removed from future rounds based on the Shipper's decisions.

Q13: Can I access my data from previous rounds?
A13: Yes, even if you’re invited to Round 2, you can still access data from Round 1. Click on "Round 1" from the event side menu to view the details.
