The Address Book is where you can store locations that you ship to or from regularly. Adding locations to your Address Book allows you to build loads more easily, especially when it comes to consistent lanes that you run. Locations can be added either individually or uploaded in bulk. How to Navigate the Address Book
Click the Settings gear icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
Select Address Book from the list.
This is where you can manage any locations you have already uploaded to the Address Book, as well as bulk upload addresses or create create individual locations. You can edit or delete any of these locations by clicking the three dots on the right side of the screen.
You are also able to delete multiple addresses by selecting the boxes on the left hand side and then clicking DELETE.
You can search for addresses using specific criteria by clicking the All drop down menu to the left of the Search bar and selecting which field you would like to search by.
Adding a Location
There are two ways to add an individual location to your address book. On the Locations screen, click CREATE LOCATION on the right hand side of the screen.
You can also click CREATE + in the top left corner of any screen of the Shipper TMS.
Select Location from the drop down menu.
Whichever way you create a location, you will then be brought to the Add Location page. You will need to enter the required fields, both the address as well as the Contact Name and Phone.
You can begin typing in the Search by location, address field and select addresses that the system already recognizes.
You can also click OR ENTER ADDRESS MANUALLY to type the address out.
You will then see more required fields, including Company Name, Address, City, and State, Postal Code. Click OR USE ADDRESS LOOKUP to go back to the auto-fill option.
Click the FTL/VPTL Defaults drop down menu to enter more information about the location.
None of the fields are required, however if the facility has consistent hours and operational requirements, entering this information will save time the next time you build a quote with this address.
Click the Appointment Type drop down menu for the Pick up defaults section or Dropoff defaults depending on if this facility is an outbound or inbound location. Select one of the options from the drop down menu. You can also select Partner to schedule if the carrier will be responsible for scheduling their own appointment. Click SAVE once you have entered all of the information you want to include.
Bulk Uploading Locations to your Address Book
You can add multiple locations to your Address Book at once, either in the Address Book itself on the upper right hand side of the screen, or from anywhere in the platform.
Click CREATE + in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
Select Bulk Upload from the drop down menu that appears.
Select Locations from the secondary menu that appears.
The Bulk Upload Locations pop up window will appear. Click downloading the bulk upload template which will download a template you can fill out. There are a total of 18 fields you can fill out, 9 of which are required, denoted by asterisks (*):

Address Line 1*
City*
State*
Postal Code*
Pick Appointment Required*
Drop Appointment Required*
Contact Name*
Contact Phone Number*
Once you have saved the spreadsheet with all of the addresses and information you would like to include, click Upload Template. Note: You are able to use Canadian Postal Codes and cities when filling out this form.
The Address Book Bulk Upload window will appear. Click Upload data from file and choose the spreadsheet you just saved.
Once the file has been successfully imported, click Continue.
You will then be asked to Confirm mapping or Ignore this column to confirm the correct information is in each of the columns.
Once you have Confirmed mapping for all of the columns, click Review.
You will see a table of all of the information uploaded from the spreadsheet to confirm all fields have been correctly uploaded and there are no issues with formatting in any of the cells. You can also toggle Only show rows with problems to quickly see any locations you are trying to add that need to be fixed or modified. Click Continue once all of the errors, if any, have been corrected.
Click Yes once you are ready to submit and complete the bulk upload.
Once the bulk upload has occurred, you will receive any email confirming the number of successful or failed uploads.
You can now view the new addresses you uploaded by going back into the Address Book from the Settings tab.
