Overview
Dynamic Book It Now (DBIN) enables an instant booking option for Carriers on posted spot loads that captures the best price using market insights, automation, and custom controls.
Along with Rate Pulse and Auto Book Partners, DBIN powers spot automation to help Shippers move freight more efficiently and with increased confidence.
Create a quote using Dynamic Book It Now
First, Create a Quote.
Next, select Dynamic Book It Now + Accept Bids to enable DBIN for a quote.
Once selected, additional details become available including the ability to change the Suggested All-in Range (click on the "CHANGE" button to the right of the "All In Suggested Rate"). This allows shippers to set a specific DBIN price range that suits their needs.
The Dynamic Book It Now Rate will automatically increase over the bid duration from your starting to ceiling rate, maximizing savings.
For posted quotes, shippers can view the current Dynamic Book It Now rate, as well as the next increase via the Quotes page for real-time insights.
Setting Dynamic Book It Now Quote Preferences and Auto Book Partners
There are different settings you can adjust for quotes that you create within the Shipper TMS. This includes toggling on Bid Duration, adjusting the length of a time bids will remain open, and giving only your most trusted Network Partners the ability to receive Auto Tenders or use the Book It Now feature on quotes you build using the Auto Book feature. How to Set Bid Duration Preferences
You can find these settings using the Quote Preferences page, which can be found by clicking the gear icon in the lower left hand side of the screen.
Select Quote Preferences from the Settings list.
You will now be able to toggle Bid Durations on Spot Quotes on or off, giving your Network Partners a set amount of time to bid on your quotes.
Enter the time frame in the Hours and Minutes fields that you would like to have be the default time frame for quotes with Bid Duration turned on.
You can also toggle Auto Tender on Spot Quotes, which will automatically tender a quote to the lowest option at the end of the Bid Duration if the quote itself is not a Contract Lane with an associated Route Guide.
Enter the Minimum number of bids you would like to require to initiate a Spot Auto Tender.
Enter the Minimum threshold relative to Rate Pulse to determine when Auto Tender is initiated.
You can set your preference to Bypass Rate Pulse Comparisons and initiate Auto Tender in cases where Rate Pulse is not available. Simply toggle to the button to to the enabled position
The DYNAMIC BOOK IT NOW PREFERENCES section allows you to set a default Book It Now Rate on Spot Quotes if you are connected to Emerge through an API connection.
Set a default range for Dynamic Book It Now on Spot Quotes using the Rate Pulse Estimate. Set your Starting and Ceiling Rates to control at what % under or over the Rate Pulse Estimate your rate will start and end. You can set the Starting Rate and the Ceiling Rate by moving the sliders on the Rate Pulse line, or, manually enter the amount in the fields below the the Rate Pulse line
API AND BULK LOAD SETTINGS setting allows you to set Dynamic BIN using the default starting and ceiling rates for API and Bulk Upload quotes.
Note: Bid duration must be enabled to use Dynamic Book It Now for API and Bulk Upload
AUTO BOOK PARTNERS LIST FOR AUTO TENDER AND DYNAMIC BOOK IT NOW setting allows you to define a list of Auto Book Network Partners to Auto Tender and allow Book It Now on your loads.
When enabled, the list of Auto Book Partners will have the Book It Now ability and will also be Auto Tendered. When the Auto Book Network Partners List functionality is toggled off, all of your Network Partners will be eligible to receive Auto Awards and use Book It Now when available.
For your Network Partners that are not Auto Book Partners, but you would like them to be, select the Network Partners from the Network Partners list and click the "ADD TO AUTO BOOK PARTNERS" button. This will move the Network Partner from the Network Partner list to the Auto Book Partners list.
You can remove a Network Partner from the Auto Book Partners list by selecting the Auto Book Partners and clicking the "REMOVE FROM AUTO BOOK PARTNERS" button. This will move the Network Partner form the Auto Book Partners list to the Network Partners list.
If you have a large list of Network Partners and/or Auto Book Partners, you can search for the Network Partner name.
When you are done with your settings, click on the "Save" button in the bottom right of the page.
